Catching the Sun

We have been learning about narrative writing. We rewrote a story called Catching the Sun. Here is my story.

Catching the Sun

 Re-told Khloe

Long, long ago there were three animals and one man. His name was Sayday and there was a Fox named Max. There was a Deer that is named Maggie. There was a Magpie named Lisa. The animals had a problem because the sun only shines on one side of the world. They said to Sanyday that it is too dark. Sanyday  said to the animals, “who can run the furthest?” Fox said that he can run far. Deer said that he can run far too but not further than Fox. Magpie said that he can go fast too but he can’t run as fast as deer and Fox. So Fox ran to the sun people. Fox was looking at the sun people they had big stabby things and were playing with the sun like a ball.

Fox played with the sun people and he distracted the sun people and grabbed the sun to pass to Deer. Deer gave it to Magpie. Magpie  passed it to Saynday. The sun people had gone so far away that they couldn't see the animals. Saynday put the sun up but it was too hot so Saynday threw the sun up, up into the sky. They were happy and they all lived happily ever after.
